In order to interpret developmental assessments it is necessary to know the chronological age of a child (years, months and days between date of birth and testing date). For young children born prematurely, it may also be necessary to calculate the corrected age (chronological age, minus any prematurity). This page will calculate the current chronological and corrected ages of an individual in years, months and days or weeks + days given any birth date and date of test. At a minimum, select a birthdate. Just click on the form field to bring up the calendar. If there is no prematurity, simply leave gestational age at 40 weeks (full term).
